More Kind Words from Clients

Breastfeeding is a journey! And Meredith has been an integral part of mine with my son since before he was born. From infant latching to first teeth, and now 14 months later transitioning to nursing a toddler - she's always been happy to lend an ear and non-judgmental advice to help me gather the tools to determine what works best for my family. With her help, I have been able to give my son this gift much longer than I ever anticipated, and for that, I am grateful. - D.W.

Meredith not only physically helped me through my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum lactation issues, but helped me keep my head above water through the mental and emotional roller coaster. Her "taking the extra step" is an understatement. She helped me through the hard decisions that my pregnancy brought and was there for both my husband and I when we didn't know how to deal with postpartum engorgement or handling the grief of breastfeeding not working for me and my baby. I highly recommend her support. - E.R.

Meredith is a total sweetheart and a genius. We recommend any new parent invests in her services for their family's wellbeing. - A.S. (twins)

Meredith is amazing! She has SO much knowledge. She is also fantastic at teaching. She helped us come up with a postpartum plan, and was a huge help with breastfeeding and latching problems that we were having. In addition to all that, she was a great support when I started experiencing some postpartum depression. She was very encouraging and had a lot of knowledge! We are so thankful to have her as our guide! - E.H.

Working with Meredith has allowed me to have the postpartum period I always dreamed of! As a former doula and someone who remains dedicated to supporting families and individuals through transitional periods, I knew the type of support offered by Meredith would be integral to our family's transition.

Once baby Jimmy arrived, Meredith's calm and kind demeanor provided me with a safe space to speak about my concerns, general anxiety, pumping, and feeding questions. Her presence in our home is so welcomed. I also can't speak highly enough about the importance of receiving support from someone who is inclusive and trauma-informed. As a fellow queer person with a history of trauma, Meredith's knowledge has been invaluable in navigating some of the sticky points that arise during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Meredith, we love you and consider you part of the family. Thank you for being with us during this life-changing time! - V.L.B. (repeat client)

My husband and I first met Meredith with MSP Doulas (also amazing!). Meredith has been insanely helpful throughout my postpartum journey, including helping with lactation questions and issues. She loves to talk lactation and has always been available for questions, of which I have had quite a few. She helped me increase my milk supply, plan for going back to work and pumping, and when our baby developed a bottle aversion, she gave us advice to work through it. She has always been calm and reassuring. I cannot express enough how amazing Meredith has been and will continue to be! - J.S. (repeat client)

I could not imagine doing this without Meredith. She is warm, kind, listens to our concerns, empowers us with information, and has been there every step of the way. After my birth, she checked in on us, helped with lactation questions, and was the rock we needed during those crazy few first weeks. I would highly recommend her to anyone! - A.H.

I am a first time mom and had trouble with breastfeeding my newborn the first couple weeks after she was born and was fortunate enough to have Meredith come visit to listen to my issues, give helpful advice and tips, and create a customized care plan for my baby and I to follow so that I could successfully continue breastfeeding/pumping. She was a really caring, friendly and helpful lactation consultant and I would really recommend her to others! - T.S.

Meredith is wonderful and such a great resource for new moms who don't know what they don't know! Very thankful to have had her support for my feeding journey. - M.R.

Have absolutely loved working with Meredith! She is so educational and has given me so many tips and resources to make me feel so much more confident feeding my little one and also seeing evidence with my daughter's weight gain! - K.W.

Meredith is super knowledgeable and I feel like she genuinely cares about us and our baby! She has so many resources to help us on our journey and you can tell she really has a passion for this work. - L.P.

Meredith has been hugely helpful as I began my breastfeeding journey. From our first meeting, she provided me with the tools, guidance, and encouragement I needed to feel confident. Her knowledge and supportive approach made all the difference during the early, challenging days. Thanks to her, I feel more prepared to breastfeed as long as makes sense for my baby and me. I highly recommend Meredith to any parent looking for expert lactation support! - K.D.

Meredith came to us when we were in the trenches with my 5 day old. We had such difficulty latching, but she helped me figure out supplementing until we could get the hang of it. We had her back a few weeks later and were able to start latching well and get on the right track. I'm so appreciative of her! - S.C.

I am a first time mom and we were fortunate to have Meredith work with our family during nights for several weeks after the birth of our son. She came highly recommended by two other families and I am excited that I can now enthusiastically recommend her too. It is hard to put into words the impact she had during the first frenetic and tender weeks of our son's life, but I will try!

Meredith clearly loves what she does and is incredibly knowledgable (especially about all things related to feeding newborns), warm (she is a fellow mom and genuinely loves babies), our baby came a week early and we have a dog and two cats so our first night home and many thereafter felt chaotic -- but she rolled with it and did not skip a beat)

Before our son was born, Meredith shared many resources with us and came to our home, so we could get acquainted and talk about what her care would look like and how she could best help us. She also went over our nursery set up and the items we had to make sure we were ready for baby boy's arrival. This helped me feel more prepared for his birth and comfortable working with Meredith.

Meredith came over the night we returned from the hospital. She was always very punctual, communicative about scheduling, and flexible when she was able to be about when to come which we appreciated. Meredith was a walking encyclopedia for all things newborn and was at the ready with the data and science behind her answers to our MANY questions as they came up.

I spent many nights up with Meredith in the wee hours, talking while I nursed my son and her presence and help in those moments was crucial. I can't imagine how alone and (more) overwhelmed I would have felt without Meredith to talk to and get guidance from. She gave me the gift of being able to breastfeed my son, a skill that she taught us.

Once we shared our goals with her, I did not have to read books or a million blog posts, I just followed her trusted guidance and this eliminated a lot of decision fatigue and worry about whether we were doing the right thing. She helped us decide when and how to introduce a bottle, for example, and that process went very smoothly. - B.M.G. (postpartum doula client)

I don't have the words for how helpful Meredith has been. From helping us get actual sleep(!) to navigating breastfeeding, no one is more skilled, responsive, and helpful than Meredith -- we looked! By far, the very BEST! - B.L.
